Editorial standards

Medical care versus general wellness

Every category is labeled as regulated medical care, a state-licensed care setting or general wellness. We never present general wellness services as medical treatment.

Sourcing

Guides cite primary or authoritative sources such as Medicare.gov, CMS, federal agencies and professional-society guidelines. Each guide lists its sources.

Medical review

Articles that discuss treatments are reviewed by a qualified clinician before they are indexed by search engines. Until review is complete, the article shows a "medical review pending" notice. We never invent reviewer names or credentials.

Health claims

We do not describe a treatment as "proven" without reliable evidence. Provider listings may not promise outcomes; medical listings are screened automatically for outcome promises and then reviewed by staff.

Corrections

Anyone can report a correction from any listing. We review reports, record every change in an audit log and show the date each listing was last verified.
